In a humanitarian gesture and a distinctive step from the people of the village of Kom Dabaa of the governorate of Qena, the Community Development Association launched a campaign to recycle all the old clothes, fabrics, plastic materials and leather in the production of handicrafts, carpets and works "Hand Craft"
Naima Mohamed Abed says the idea came through the announcement of the "Human Aid Foundation" program to participate in a competition at the level of the Republic, we decided to take an initiative to enter the competition, but at the same time, last and continue to benefit our village, as part of our social responsibility The competition targets 100 houses within a month, but we decided to target 800 houses in general, in order to continue the idea for its employees to become a source of livelihood for them.
Naima stressed, and rejecting the idea of burning old-fashioned clothes, especially undamaged ones, which causes health problems caused by the burning process, we thought of finding an unconventional way to get rid of these clothes in a healthy and safe manner to preserve the environment, as well as benefit from them instead of wasting them in this way. .
Naima drew the idea of relying on the collection of old fabrics and clothing, recycling and transfer of products and carpets, for families who provide these products, with the collection of workmanship only, which makes this initiative a resource for girls who work in the initiative.
She stressed that the team working on the project includes 25 girls, including 15 girls are trained on hand-made carpets, 10 girls on handicrafts and handicrafts, and we seek to compete internationally through the competition, which will end with the selection of the best two initiatives, thank God, we have reached a distinguished stage in the qualifiers.
